In 2002 the project Klopfgeister was founded. After lots of home sessions they played their first gig, supported by a guitar-player and singer, a Keyboarder, a drummer and a girl on a violin.
Through many live performances all around Europe, they got some new inspiration for the studio. Jens developed his technical skills, whilst Thorsten used his DJ Experiences and his Classic-Piano education to work on song-writing, producing and arranging. The first Klopfgeister release was in 2004 on Mental Arts and the Track "How to become a psychic" is a massive dance-floor burner until today.
In 2005 they released their debut album "Sweet Compromise" with Balloonia and caught attention from around the world due to its melodic, emotional, progressive but also psychedelic approach. Until now they released plenty of other tracks on compilations of major labels and they also released their 2nd album "Sunflavoured" in 2006 and 3rd album "Travel Diaries" in 2007. Both releases have been published through Iono Music and have been hugely successful top-sellers. Until now they are well known for their very special Live Acts and the fact that the play nearly 100 % real live makes every gig a very specia experience for the audience. Everything you hear (rhythms, melodies, synths, arpeggiators, guitars, vocals) is created and performed in real-time, so they don’t MIDI or hard-disk.
Their sound has changed a bit over the years and so they offer a full range of musical styles - from powerful rocking night-sound to emotional progressive morning-sound.
